At Salter School of Nursing and Allied Health, our Career Services advisors want to help you create a winning resume.
It can be hard to write a resume for your first job, when you don’t have much experience. Many employers are looking for candidates with some experience on the job. That is why, when you are first starting out in a new field, it’s a good idea to write a resume that emphasizes your skills rather than your work experience (since you don’t have work experience in your new field yet). This is called a skills-based resume.
The sample below is a skills-based resume for a Licensed Nursing Assistant in New Hampshire. Make sure you customize this resume to your own skills, experiences, and strengths. And never hesitate to stop by our Career Services office to get some professional help. That’s why we are here!
